Abelia ‘Pink Pong’

Sumptuously scented mauve flowers make ‘Pink Pong’ a stand out introduction. This hard working shrub offers year-round interest thanks to fully evergreen foliage – Abelia ‘Pink Pong’ won’t lose its leaves in winter like other abelias, but it is the long season of floral interest that sets this fragrant shrub out from the crowd. Large tubular flowers appear from May right through October, offering colour and honey-scent for six months of the year. As the flowers fade in autumn, their purple-copper bases (calyces) take over, extending the colour interest into winter. Excellent as hedging or a stand-alone specimen shrub. Height: 150cm (59″).
