Berberis Thunbergii ‘Orange Dream’

This relatively new variety will certainly brighten up borders. Berberis thunbergii ‘Orange Dream’ boasts pale orange foliage in spring, complemented by clusters of orange flowers. The leaves mature to red throughout summer, joined by scarlet red berries from late August. Like all Japanese barberries, the autumn foliage is vibrant creating superb colour contrasts with the foliage of darker shrubs. Berberis thunbergii ‘Orange Dream’ has an open branching habit when grown as a specimen shrub, and makes a good hedging plant too. Height: 90cm (36″). Spread: 120cm (48″).
