Clematis Nubia

There are masses of clematis in violet and blue shades but fewer choices in red – Nubia is undoubtedly one of the strongest. Its combination of red petals and red stamens creates a rich, ruby red flower which oozes opulence. Nubia also has the advantage of being a compact variety which can be easily grown in a container or trained on a low wall. The single flowers are up to 15cm across and with correct pruning will bloom from early to midsummer followed by a second smaller flush in autumn.  Pruning group 2. Height: 1.5cm (60in).
