Clematis ‘Joe’ is a spectacularly pretty dwarf clematis bearing such a profusion of flowers from April to May that its fine evergreen foliage is almost completely obscured. The flowers may be small (1.5″ across) but are exquisitely formed pure white blooms with pale yellow stamens which smother the whole plant. The delicate flowers are accompanied by fine, deeply cut, waxy foliage. This evergreen clematis requires some shelter from cold winds and freely draining soil so it’s best grown in a container and moved into a sheltered position over winter. Winner of an RHS ‘Award of Garden Merit’.
Maximum height and spread: 2m (79in) x 50cm (20in).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
