Well named as The Wedding Cake Tree! The distinctive, horizontal-tiered branches of Cornus controversa ‘Variegata’ are clothed in bright green leaves with bold creamy white margins. Clusters of white flowers in June create a magnificent focal point for a medium sized garden. The leaves turn red-purple in autumn, with clusters of blue-black berries. This deciduous tree will take a few years to attain its full potential but makes a superb specimen tree at maturity. Height: 8m (25’). Spread: 8m (25’).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
