A female cultivar of the Sea Buckthorn, Hippophae rhamnoides ‘Leikora’ produces masses of orange berries in autumn which stand out magnificently against the silvery green foliage. This shrub grows well in adverse conditions, preferring dry almost sandy soils, where it will thrive. The grape sized fruits of this hardy deciduous shrub are a rich source of Vitamin C but will require a male plant to produce the best crops. An ideal plant to grow as hedging or screening, Hippophae is also well suited for coastal gardens. Height: 8m (26′). Spread 8m (26′).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
