A traditional female variety that looks much like the species with glossy green, spiny foliage and spherical, shiny red berries. In time, this handsome variety forms a narrowly upright, dense evergreen tree that offers useful cover and a valuable source of food for winter birdlife. Holly ‘Alaska’ is particularly good at smothering itself in shiny red berries, just in time for Christmas, making a colourful addition to Christmas wreaths and other decorations. This robust evergreen is especially hardy and forms a useful windbreak tree for year round interest in even the coldest gardens. Height: 8m (26’). Spread: 3m (9’).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
