Glossy dark green foliage topped with burgundy coloured young shoots makes this an eye-catching evergreen shrub. Leucothoe axillaris ‘Twisting Red’ has intriguing curled leaves that add texture and colour to borders and containers. White flowers are borne in spring, although these are fairly small and insignificant. This bushy evergreen shrub has a low spreading habit which makes superb ground cover for acid borders. Height: 50cm (20″). Spread: 60cm (24″).
