Viburnum Odoratissimum Var. Awabuki

Exceptionally glossy foliage makes this a handsome specimen plant. Grown as a large shrub or small tree, its evergreen leaves have a polished appearance that shows off its fragrant, white blooms to perfection each spring. The flowers are borne in cones-shaped panicles which are later replaced by red berries, that ripen to black. Viburnum odoratissimum var. awabuki enjoys a sheltered position away from cold, drying winds. It makes a superb screening shrub and provides colour and interest throughout the year.
