An unusual dark-purple leaved Weigela whose flowers are pink and tubular, appearing in late spring to early summer. Making it on to the RHS’s Plants for Pollinators plant list, this is an ideal plant if you wish to attract an array of pollinating insects into your garden. The leaves darken as they age to almost black. Weigela florida ‘Alexandra’ is a deciduous, upright, easy-to-grow shrub that requires very little maintenance and thrives in most moist soils in sun or part-shade. Height & Spread: 1.5m (5′).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
